Engineer Intern

Position Title: Engineer Intern
Infrastructure Engineers provides engineering design for transportation projects; structural inspection for bridges (above and below water) and ancillary highway structures; and construction engineering inspection.

Position Description:
The Engineer Intern position in an entry level position with tremendous growth potential involving design and inspection of bridges and other transportation structures. The position will assist with all aspects of roadway design related projects.
Key
Responsibilities:
o Perform conceptual engineering studies
o Provide preliminary engineering and final design
o Research project plans and previous reports
o Perform field inspections
o Other duties as needed and appropriate for the position
Position Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university
o Civil 3D or Microstation/Geopak skills desired
o Previous transportation design a plus
o 1-2 years of experience preferred
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Strong attention to detail
o Physically fit, capable of lifting and carrying 75 lbs and wearing up to 90 lbs
Additional Requirements:
o Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office applications and Internet
o Ability to multitask
o Ability to remain highly organized
o Ability to maintain a highly positive attitude
o Willingness and eagerness to help
o Ability to work at elevated heights and ability to swim desired
Pre-Employment requirements:
o Valid Florida state driver's license in good standing
o Submit to a drug test
o Pass a criminal background check

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
