Insurance Coordinator
Westmoreland Family Dentistry Westmoreland Family Dentistry Oviedo, FL Oviedo, FL Full-time Full-time $18 - $25 an hour $18 - $25 an hour We are looking for an energetic and friendly person to join our front desk team at our small general practice dental office in Oviedo! This position would assist the front desk with general reception responsibilities and would be responsible for dental insurance related tasks between direct communications with patients.
We treat children and adults.
We are open Monday through Thursday, 7:
30 AM to 5:
00 PM with a lunch break of typically 1 hour, and we are looking to hire for this position during these times.

com Past experience in a front desk/reception area in a dental office and a familiarity with common dental insurance is required for consideration for this position.
Hourly salary is based on past experience.

Job responsibilities include:
Obtain patient insurance coverage and benefits information and enter correct information into our records; Regularly review daily schedules to check what insurance benefits and limitations apply to scheduled treatment and ensure accuracy of treatment plans based upon this information.
Ensure this information is communicated to patient and staff as necessary to accurately inform patient about fees and collect same; Electronically submit complete dental claims to insurance for all completed procedures and, if claims require further communication with insurance, performing any necessary follow-up to pursue payment on claims; Present completed treatment plans to patient and obtain their signature prior to actual service; Assist other front desk staff with common routine operations:
patient check-in and check-out, future appointment scheduling, responding to incoming and outgoing calls and e-mails, collecting payment from patients.
Keep workspace clean and participate in required medical office training.
